Mysuru: Man searching for son's childhood caretakers with Rs 1 crore reward

Daijiworld Media Network - Mysuru (SP)

Mysuru, Jan 20: An Indian currently settled in the USA wants to gift one crore rupees to a nanny who had looked after his four-year-old son for 11 months when the child was in the house of a relative at Mysuru 19 years ago. He has been searching for the domestic servants who took care of his son.

This has come as a surprise at a time when the relationship between the worker and the employer is measured by money and it ends once the wage is disbursed. Prasad from Mysuru, who is the NRI in question, has also released an advertisement seeking to find out the servants in question so that he can hand over the money to them.

Prasad says that the domestic servants had looked after his young son fondly, adding that such services cannot be measured in terms of money. He thinks that the people concerned and their families may still be in poverty and that his son studying in USA has desired that these people should be suitably rewarded.

Prasad had left his four-year-old son in the residence of a relative in the city in 2001. For 11 months, the child was looked after by Shanti, Anand, Mamata and Santosh, domestic servants, before the child was taken to USA. The child continued to recollect these four persons and was greatly influenced by their doting affection, Prasad said.

The child has now grown into a young man studying in a college at USA but he continues to fondly recollect about the unconditional love he received from the servants. Therefore, his parents have come forward to hand over one crore rupees to the four persons in the form of financial assistance, education of their children etc. But he does not know their proper names, telephone numbers etc. He however has some photos of his son in the company of these servants and based on the photos he wants to find out the current whereabouts of these people.

This gesture is more than a thousand prayers and all the offerings put together at all the places of worship.

Instead of offering crores and crores to deities and for beautification of places of worship … which would be misused by the persons in-charge of these places ...… these heartwarming gestures will be remembered a long way in uplifting the lives of the needy !!!
