Kuwait OCTOBER 2: Hot Stepper, the Entertainment wing of the Creative Indians Association has always stepped up their milestones to better their previous ones. They have given the staggering success at their prior events which clearly explains their success and growing popularity.  As a part of this year’s program, “Indian Fiesta 2009”, a Family entertainment festival was celebrated at the Kuwait Entertainment City – Doha, Kuwait on ‘Gandhi Jayanti’  Friday, 2nd October, 2009.  It was a day filled with loads of fun, exciting rides and entertainment for the entire family and of all age groups.    Delicious and mouth watering Indian cuisine were available at different Indian stalls along with free goodies from the sponsors.

After the fun & frolic from the rides during the day, the evening started with music played by “Whatever” band at 5.00 pm. As a formal inauguration, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait  Ajay Malhotra inaugurated the souvenir and spoke few words in presence of Anwar Al Nisf- Manager of the Entertainment City, Prashanth D’souza – president and Vinod D’Souza –Vice president , Creative Indians Association.

The local dance groups Nach Baliye and Dillusssions entertained the audience with their spectacular dances for the music played by DJ Flames and for the songs of visiting artists.  Lots of spot prizes were distributed to the audience.  The sponsors were felicitated by the organizers with mementos.

The entry of UK born singer and performer of Indian Origin Harshi Madhaparia rocked the audience by her superb voice and foot tapping numbers with dance.  Harshi is a true performer on stage and lives up to the expectations of her audience. She was the top contestant of the Indian Idol-3 and has been among the top 3 of the UK finalists and went on to represent UK and competed with 150 contestants from India.

On public demand, Abhijeet Sawant performed second time in Kuwait who won the hearts of audience with his songs and performance.  In 2005 he was crowned ‘Indian Idol’ with over 20 million votes on reality show.  Over a million copies sold on his debut album.  After cutting his second album and his lead role in the Hindi Movie "LOTTERY" has taken his popularity and demand to greater heights.  He is the only reality artist to complete more than 500 shows all over India & also in countries like USA, UK, Nairobi, Mauritius & many more.

The event reached its zenith with a total entertainment show with RASHID KHAN who is a physical dupe of the famous & loved Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.   He also mesmerized the audience with his mimicry and comedy. The event was compered by Merwyn and Lloyd D’Souza.  DJ Flames who had all the groovy numbers were playing at regular intervals for all the homesick music enthusiasts.
