Mangaluru, Jan 13: MLA Vedavyas Kamath said that Rs 4.03 crore grant is released for various developmental works to be carried out at the Bengre Ward of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC).
Vedavyas Kamarth further said, "After the Congress rule in the MCC was over, according to the demands of the public, special grant is released from various departments. Under the minorities development fund Rs 35 lac is released. For the RCC drainage construction at Kasaba Bengre Rs 10 lac, for development of road leading to Badriya Masjid Rs five lac, for road development of Bengre Rehmath shop Rs 10 lac and for the construction of drainage at Bengre Rs 10 lac is reserved.
"Rs 20 lac is released under Natural calamity funds. Rs 10 lac is earmarked for the concretization of road leading to Bengre V V Sadana and Rs 10 lac for road concretization of Kasaba Bengre.
"Rs six lac is released from Malnad Development Corporation. This is reserved for the continuing work near Anganwadi of Sandpit. Rs five lac is given from the MLAs area development fund for the development of road leading to Bengre Sri Durgaparameshwari temple.
"Rs 3.37 crore is released in the year 2019-20 by the fisheries department for the construction of anchor for country boats at Thotabengre. This is already under the tender process."
