Moodbidri: Bus hits bike - Young medical intern killed

Moodbidri, Jan 13: An Ayurveda medical intern from Kollam in Kerala lost his life after a bus hit the motor bike he was riding near Kesargadde here. The accident happened on Sunday, January 12.

The deceased was Dr Krishnanand (24), an intern of Alva's Ayurveda Medical College here.

Dr Krishnanand was moving in his motor bike to Karkala to take part in a medical camp organized there on Sunday morning. A private express bus, which was trying to overtake his motorbike near Kesargadde, hit his motorbike. The bike rider fell to the road and instantly the rear wheel of the bus crushed his skull. Dr Krishnanand lost his life on the spot.

A case stands registered against the errant bus driver in the town police station here. It is gathered that the deceased was very active in all college activities, his behaviour was exemplary, and he was a brilliant person.

    Now a days bus driver and conductor is telling they have to reach the stop on time. We dont have any other option other than speed. So now they are not allowing people get down easily. Whoever is concern please take care of this issue. we need safety first then ur time.

    This accident happened in front of my relatives house the road leading between bannadaka SKF factory and kersargadde, as per real eyewitnesses the biker fell down upon hitting a dangerous pothole still not repaired bus was exactly behind him when he fell down the bus went over him as driver couldn't do anything all happened in fraction of a second.

    The pothole is big running a length of 20 Meters very hard to see as it's as it's almost invisible from distance as road is steep down .riders please be careful if you are traveling from SKF factory to kersargadde you will get a big pothole in between.

    Cancel License for "Express" Buses and change them to Normal , No more Express Buses

    The road between Kaikamba and Moodbidri is has so many dangerous curves. Very dangerous for overtaking. For two wheelers more dangerous. I wonder why this road is not straightened.

    THE CENTRAL MOTOR VEHICLE ACT IS THEW BEST ACT TO PREVENT THE CRASH DRIVING.INSTEAD OF SUPPORTING THAT ACT EVERY ONE OPPOSED.NOW WHO WILL GIVE VALUE TO SUCH LIVES?

    Very sad. May his soul RIP. Roads are terryfying. Big vehicles are a nightmare for two wheelers. Seperate track for two wheelers is the only solution. Unfortunately we have to read such news on everyday. Very bad indeed.

    Many youngsters life los two wheeler or four wheelers accidents. But we have not taken measures to control accidents. All accidents may be different reasons. The roads improvement, speed limit in the vehicles, other things should be properly controlled by implementing rules. Mr Ghadkari heavy penalty also save life if it had been implemented with human touch.
    Almighty may give all strength to the family members to bear the grief and bless them

    If heavy penalties imposed people cry whatever CENTRE fines implemented state should abide by the rules in this case the bus owner should be heavily fined cancel the drivers license reckless bus drivers are in dakshina Karnataka no rules driving with mobiles in hand no seat belts the condition of the Buses are worst no action from the the police yeh paisa boltha hai
