Mumbai, Sep 28: The seventh annual general body meeting of Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) was held at Hotel Kohinoor Continental here on Sunday September 27 at 6.30 pm.
Auxiliary Bishop Bosco Penha of Mumbai diocese was the chief guest on the occasion. The Annual Excellence Awards in industry, public service and social service were conferred on Antony Rasquinha, managing director of Electropneumatics and Hydraulics (India) Private Ltd (industry), Allan C A Pereira, chief managing director of the Bank of Maharastra (public service) and Abraham Mathai, deputy chairman of State Minorities Commission (social service).
National Commission for Minorities deputy chairman Michael P Pinto was the guest of honour. Daijiworld Weekly editor Stephan Mascarenhas (Hemacharya) and Fr K Swami were the specially invitees. Henry Lobo, Agnelo Rajesh Athaide and Johnson Therettil introduced the awardees.
Bishop Bosco Penha administered the oath of office to the new chairman Henry Lobo, who in his maiden address promised to take the chamber to greater heights during his term.
The directors Lawrence Coelho, William Sequeira, Agnelo Rajesh Athaide, Johnson Therettil, Randolf Alves, Antony Sequeira, Augstino G Fernandes, committee advisors Antony Rasquinha, A P Kurian, Aloysius Aguar, executive secretary Alphonsus Corda, Pramila V Mathias, Gladys J D’Silva and Elvina A D’Souza honoured the specially invitees with flower bouquets. Pramila V Mathias honoured Philomena Lobo, wife of the new chairman.
