Mangalore, Sep 28: A two-day orientation programme for the incoming second batch of MBA students was conducted at the Sahyadri College here, recently to acquaint them with the institutional ethos and enable them to cope with the demands of management programme.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Bhattacharya, professor, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Speaking on the occasion he stressed on the importance of personal grooming to succeed in the industry.
Manjunath Bhandary, chairman presided. The orientation programme saw eminent resource persons from different parts of the country chosen for their expertise in different fields such as academics and industry. Srinivasan, project head, Infosys Technologies trained the students on team building.
Raja K, head of the department of MBA programme gave an overview of various activities the institute is planning to implement to develop the skills and competencies of students.
Dr D L Prabhakara, the principal said that the programme was meticulously planned in terms of the selection of the resource persons and other activities so as to prepare the freshers to pursue their management programme with zeal and commitment.
