Mangaluru, Jan 10: Milagres College, Hampankatta, has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with B++ Grade.
The NAAC peer team visited the college on December 9 and 10, 2019 and the grade was announced on Thursday, January 9.
For a college of nine years of existence and four undergraduate programmes, it is a milestone to have achieved B++ in the first cycle itself.
With the benevolence of the management, foresighted administration and efficient and dedicated principal and staff along with the avid students, it was possible to gain this feat.
This grade emboldens them to move forward toward greater heights in terms of tangible achievements for the welfare of the students. This accreditation is a certification affirming the quality of education imparted in Milagres College and this enables them to receive grants from central and state governments and other public and private organizations for the development of quality education.
At this juncture, the college thanks Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangaluru and president of CBE, Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, the former Bishop, Fr Antony Shera, the secretary of the Catholic Board of Education, Fr Joseph Lobo the correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, Fr Valerian D’Souza the previous correspondent, the members of the Governing Council and Internal Quality Assurance Cell.
The college also appreciates the services of Fr Michael Santhumayor, pPrincipal, Prof Lourdusamy, NAAC advisor, Nayana, NAAC coordinator, Lavita Pereira, IQAC coordinator, PTA, alumni, all the staff and students and congratulate them for their achievement.
It also acknowledge the services of Fr Walter D’Mello, the founder correspondent, Prof Lawrence D’Costa, founder principal and Fr F X Gomes, former principal, in this process of accreditation.
The need for the state-of-the-art building to facilitate teaching and learning is realized because of the initiative taken by Fr Valerian D’Souza, former correspondent and the Parish Pastoral Parishad of Milagres, the college recalls adding to hope to continue in the journey of quality sustenance and development.
