Mangalore: Idol of Goddess Sharada Installed at SV Temple

Mangalore, Sep 25: Like in several other places, Goddess Sharada is installed and worshipped at Sri Venkataramana Temple, Car Street in the city annually during Navaratri.



This year too, the beautiful, specially decorated idol of the Goddess, was brought in a grand procession to the temple, accompanied by hundreds of devotees, ‘Chende’ players from Kerala, large-sized dolls etc., on the morning of Friday September 25. The idol was thereafter installed at the specially erected pandal, by performing the requisite rituals.
