Mangaluru: 'Ivan is responsible for vitiating peace in city' - MP Nalin Kumar Kateel

Mangaluru, Jan 7: MP and state BJP president, Nalin Kumar Kateel, has held MLC Ivan D'Souza as responsible for disrupting peace in the city. He was reacting to Ivan's claim that Amit Shah's visit here will disturb peaceful atmosphere here.

Reacting to Ivan's statement on union home minister, Amit Shah's proposed visit here, Kateel said that Ivan is the man responsible for breaking peace here. He warned that he and other like-minded people may resort to sitting in hunger strike demanding externment of Ivan from the district.

Amit Shah's proposed programme of visiting the city is yet to be finalized and the date has not been worked out. He is scheduled to hold programmes at Bengaluru, Hubballi and Mangaluru. As Bangla and Pakistani refugees live in large numbers in Sindhanur area, a programme is also being held there. But it is not certain whether Shah will visit all these places or not.

    There are three people in Dakshina Kannada disturbing the peaceful atmosphere for political gains. If they shut their mouth our area could be more peaceful. BJP is not talking about the development they promised . GDP is lowest for last 35 years, unemployment highest for years. This current plan is to distract people from real problems.

    How can I have anything against anybody who have nothing where it matters most ? Is it not ? You all agree ?
    One became Congress President knowing nothing and the other....
    Is the President of some 48 organisations knowing nothing about them !!

    The MP can complain to the police and arrest Ivan .There are so many laws and CrPC sections under which a complaint can be made. Why only give statements. Karnatka has BJP government and they have full power to take action like they did police firing in Mangalore. Why only Ivan also UT Khader also gave statements
