Mangalore, Sep 24: The city-based Karnataka Christian Communication Service organized a two-day variety recreational programme for the community’s senior citizens, at their Balmatta campus here, recently.
Christian Society of India (CSI) south diocese treasurer Fr Samuel Jattanna inaugurated the programme. Karnataka Theological College registrar Fr S S Salins conducted the religious ceremony.
Karnataka Christian Communication Service director Fr Honey Cabral welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks. M S Clare and Pushpa Sadannand were the chief guests at the valedictory ceremony.
Bishop Dr J S Sadanand of Karnataka south diocese, in his presidential address, inspired the senior citizens to lead happy and contented life. KACES treasurer Fr H M Watson conducted the religious ceremony. CSI Jubilee Church, Udupi bagged the first prize in group singing competition and CSI Sushanti Church, Mercara Hills was the runner-up. Aileen Koundinya of Jubilee Church, Udupi secured the first place in story telling competition and Jane Anchan of Sushanti Church, Mercara Hills was the runner-up.

Gladys Karkada of Jubilee Church, Udupi secured the first place in fancy dress competitions, Rita Sadanand of Jubilee Church, Udupi and Margaret Ammanna of Shanti Church, Jeppu were the runners-up.
