Bantwal, Dec 26: A brutal fight between two brothers over a trivial reason ended in the tragic murder of one of them at Bolangadi, near Melkar on Thursday morning, December 26.
Panemangalore Kasba village Bolangadi resident Muyya alias Leo Lobo (50) is the person who was murdered. It is said that his elder brother Cyril Lobo (54) is the murder accused.
The two brothers were staying in a house at Bolangadi, Panemangalore. Both of them were bachelors. They used to argue with each other daily over petty reasons. Likewise, an argument ensued at 10 am on Thursday. Both of them hit each other severely with wooden sticks found at home. As per primary investigation, elder brother Cyril Lobo hit younger brother Leo Lobo so hard that he died in the house.
A local resident Albert Crasta reportedly came to the spot to prevent the fight. Meanwhile, Cyril Lobo fled from the place. It is suspected that monetary dispute is the reason for the fight.
Bantwal police circle inspector T D Nagaraj, Bantwal town SI Avinash, staff Murugesh, Girish, Basappa, Yogish, Praveen and Niranjan visited the spot and conducted spot inspection.
A police case was registered at Bantwal town police station in this connection. Police are on the lookout for the accused.
