Mangaluru, Dec 26: "Let former chief ministers Siddaramaiah, Kumaraswamy, KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao and MLA U T Khader ask their conscience before making any statements related to the recent police firing that occurred during the anti-CAA protests in Mangaluru," said district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.

Minister Poojary was speaking at the press conference that was held at the Dakshina Kannada district BJP office in the city on December 26. Speaking further on the police firing during the anti-CAA protest, Kota Srinivas Poojary questioned, "Is pelting stones, rounding up of police station and trying to enter shop selling guns is part of peaceful protest?

"When the anti-CAA protest intensified, police have taken the decision fire according to the prevailing situation of that time. So the police firing is justified. The government is towards the justice in this whole episode and does not take sides of either the police or the protesters," clarified the minister.

Many BJP people have come and pass their communal comments. We don't understand who is the real leader in BJP!! Instead of treating this protest as anti CAA and NRC, you all giving communal colour to this protest! You people are visting Mangalore frequently only to provocate and infuse communal hatred. During the time of flood and adversities, no one is seen here!! Why don't you direct your masters to conduct judicial probe? Let truth come out.

First of all you need to teach voters how to vote...
No point in blaming politicians that too one sided blaming like you.....

Why "anti-CAA" itself is unknown to the protestors (as long as they are not Bangladeshis)

Is Mr Poojary an authorized spokesperson of the BJP like Sambit Patra to speak in public about the party’s policies? Each and every ruling party politician speaks as per his/her whims and fancies.

You are right. But you forgot to mention that the balatkaris are for justice only for the majority.

The police firing and subsequent curfew has reminded us that we are in the same black period of Karnataka history of 2008-13

Instead of statements and counterstatements a judicial probe by a retired supreme court judge would clear the air.
