Hassan, Dec 23: In an incident which happened at Sakleshpur in the district, a person was made to believe in an offer of employment in a foreign nation. After the man fell into this trap and spent a whopping Rs 14.25 lac, he realized that he was taken for a ride. He has approached the police now.
Mazhar Khan, resident of Prem Nagar in Sakleshpur town, had got a call sometime back, offering to bag driver's job for him in London. In course of time, he was advised to remit money to different bank accounts through online transfers.
Mazhar Khan has complained that the caller received Rs 14.25 lac from him but failed to meet the promise of employment. A case in this regard has been registered in cyber, economic and narcotics offences and investigation has been launched.
