Mangaluru, Dec 17: Children of Hongirana service association and their parents celebrated Christmas under the aegis of St Christopher Association in Milagres Church hall here on December 15.

All India Catholic Union president Lancy D’Cunha who was the chief guest said that Jesus has given an excellent message to humanity asking to help the neighbour who is in distress. “The work by St Christopher association towards students and their families following the message is commendable.”

Hongirana organizer Seema explained the way Hongirana progressed during the last 14 years.

Honorary president Sushil Noronha gave away the message of Christmas. Items necessary for school children and Christmas sweets ‘Kuswar’ were distributed. Different games were held for entertainment. Association president Lena D’ Souza welcomed. Secretary Nigel Pereira rendered vote of thanks.

Vice president John Gomes and joint secretary Julian Dias were on the dais. Prof John D’Souza compered the programme.
