Shivamogga, Dec 17: In the backdrop of protests happening nationwide against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, Karnataka BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel blamed Congress for inciting communal violence.
Speaking at the District BJP special meeting held in Shivamogga district, Kateel stressed that the Citizenship (Amendment) Act is not aimed at troubling Muslims. Instead, it safeguards interests of the minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh, he said.
Calling Congress as an anti-national party, Kateel blamed Congress for misguiding Muslims on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
