Mangaluru: 'Masaam' collection of stories by Antony Barkur released

Mangaluru, Dec 17: The book release programme of 'Masaam', a collection of 13 stories, written by Antony Barkur was held at the St Sebastian auditorium in the city on Monday, December 16. Kannada litterateur Jogi released the book and wished all the best to the writer.

Fr Allwyn Serrao, Richard Moras, Henry Almeida, J F D'Souza and publisher Vitori Karkala were present on the dais.

"Antony is known for bringing out the language and feelings of people living in islands in a moving manner. He is equally brilliant in writing about the hustle bustle of IT (Information Technology) world. This collection of stories will take Konkani story literature to a new height altogether," said Melwyn Rodrigues, poet and Kendra Sahitya Academy awardee in his blurb on the back cover of the book.

Poet and litterateur Kishu Barkur has written the introduction and designed the front cover page. This is the 11th book published by Srijan Prakashan. This book will also be published in Devanagari script on the occasion of Kavita Fest in January 2020 at Goa by Kavita Publications.
