Karkala, Dec 12: Vasanth (33), a resident of Amba Nilaya in Batra Darkhasu, Kakkekadu in Kadthala village in the taluk, hanged himself from a mango tree standing near his home on Wednesday December 11.
Vasanth was serving as a postman. His marriage was held on December 1 this year.
Vasanth had suffered an injury near his left ankle about five years ago after it came in contact with the silencer of a motor bike. Although he had tried different kinds of treatment, this wound had not healed. On this count, he was very much worried and mentally stressed, it is said.
On the basis of complaint made by Vasanth's father, Bhoja Poojary, a case of unnatural death was registered in Ajekar police station.
