Mangalore: Art Show, ‘Courtyard of Memories’ Inaugurated in City

Mangalore, Sep 5 : The solo art exhibition of a young artist of international fame from the city, Santhosh Andrade, opened for public viewing on Thursday September 3, at Preediv Art Gallery, Bejai in the city.



Modern art works with ‘Madhubani’ blended style are on display at the show, which was inaugurated by Dr Prashanth Marla, medical director of A J Hospital here.  Dr Hansaraj Alva, director of Vinaya Hospital and Research Centre in the city and N S Pattar, lecturer of Mahalasa School of Art, were the guests of honour. Director of the gallery, Preetham Fernandes, senior artists like Ganesh Somayaji, K P Shenoy, Kuppanna Kandgal and others were present at the inaugural.

About 30 art works are on display at the gallery in different media (oil, acrylic, water colours, and mixed media). This exhibition is open for the general public till September 10, 2009 from 11 am to 7 pm at the following venue:

    I really did not expect such wonderful art work it would be prior to opening the news item. Especially the one work with begger in front of the house-a rare art work. Keep it up. Wish you all the best
