"Ayodhya falls within the jurisdiction of Puri Shankaracharya religious order where we are against allotting land for construction of mosque. Secularism should not be thrust upon religious matters. He asked people of other faiths to make changes in the way they live like Parsis did. He pointed out that both Pakistan and Bangladesh have been posing problems for India. It would be a tricky situation if terrorists get deep-rooted in Varanasi and Mathura, he explained.

The Swamiji said that it was wrong to project Gandhiji as a religious leader and implement the secularism principles he preached. He insisted that the fact that Hindus are liberal should not be misused by others. He pointed out that Odisha high court and Supreme Court have ordered religious procedures at Jagannath Mandir at Puri to be conducted as per the guidance provided by Puri Shankaracharya. "Hence, we will implement this order soon," he added.
