Mangaluru, Nov 16: Jeshma D’Souza, a young BSc graduate, had many dreams and ambitions for herself and her family. She wanted to work, build a house for her parents, get married and lead a family life. Sadly, luck was not in her favour. When she underwent a medical check-up for a common illness, her reports showed she is suffering from Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.
Doctors conducted repeated medical check-ups and the reports confirmed she has blood cancer and has entered the 4th stage. She was suggested immediate chemotherapy and her parents are racing against time to save their daughter.
In spite of severe financial constraints, Jeshma’s parents have spent over Rs 2 lac for her chemotherapy treatment. Jeshma requires specialized treatment and regular chemotherapy. However, each chemo costs more than Rs 30,000. Jeshma’s father John Cyril is a coolie worker and her mother is a homemaker. She has a younger brother, who recently completed his studies and is still searching for a job.
Jeshma’s parents have already sold gold and other assets and spent the same on Jeshma’s initial treatment. However, now they have run out of resources and are unable to meet the financial requirements. They have now appealed to Daijiworld’s generous readers and believe that they will bring a ray of hope in their daughter’s life. They hope that generous contributions will help meet the treatment costs and Jeshma will become healthy again.
Those who wish to help Jeshma are requested to send in their contribution to the details provided below:
