Mangalore, Aug 19: Dakshina Kannada(DK) district did not witness any fresh suspected swine flu cases on Tuesday August 18. The medical reports about the four suspected cases reported on Monday are yet to be received.
With this, out of the 40 suspected H1N1 infection cases reported from the district so far, seven had tested positive, and all of them have been discharged from the hospitals after treatment.
Out of the five suspected swine flu cases referred to Manipal hospital on Monday, four tested negative, while the other patient was confirmed of swine flu infection. With this, the total number of confirmed H1N1 cases, have risen to 15 in Udupi district. The lone person, who was confirmed for the presence of this virus, is from Manipal.
Out of the total of 15 persons from the district, who showed swine flu symptoms and tested positive, seven have been discharged after treatment while the other eight are undergoing treatment. All of them are showing recovery signs and three among them may be discharged on Wednesday August 19, the hospital sources said.
