Kundapur: Sale of liquor in violation of order - Three held

Kundapur, Nov 11: Crime sub-inspector of the police station here, Ramesh R Pawar, raided a spot where liquor was being being sold illegally. The seller was found violating an order through which liquor sale had been banned in the light of expected verdict of the Supreme Court on Ayodhya issue.

Liquor was being sold near a hotel next to Shastri Circle here. Ravi Mogaveera, Shivayya Hiremath and Vikram were arrested. 9.1 litres of liquor worth Rs 6,822, Rs 4,540 in cash, and three cellphones were recovered from them.

A case stands registered in the police station here.
