Kadaba, Nov 1: Ganesh Gowda Hirinja from Haleneranki, who reportedly posted message in social website in which comments which undermined the dignity of Dakshina Kannada MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, were made, was summoned by Kadaba police to the police station on Thursday October 31. He was let off after he executed a bond.
Ganesh had posted a voice message in a WhatsApp group in which he had used derogatory language against the MP. After some members of the group expressed anguish, he also had sought apology in the group.
Later, Sullia Mandal BJP secretary, Laxminarayan Athur, had complained on this issue to Kadaba police. The police asked Ganesh to be present in the station and questioned him. Later, Ganesh tendered an apology in the presence of BJP leaders, and signed an affidavit not to resort to such things in future.
BJP leaders, Laxminarayana Rao, Dharmapala Rao, Sadashiva Shetty Maranga, Sheenappa Gowda Valakadama and others were present during the discussions.
