Udupi: Congress leaders, scores of party workers pay last respects to Jayashree Krishnaraj

Udupi, Oct 31: Thousands of people, Congress leaders and many party workers paid their last respects with full state respect from the administration to senior Congress leader Jayashree Krishnaraj at her residence at Malpe near here on Wednesday, October 30.

Jayashree (68) was an active Congress leader, who breathed her last due to cardiac arrest on October 27 at her daughter's house in Delhi. She was the wife of Krishnaraj, brother of late Malpe Madhwaraj.

Jayashree served as member of CMC Udupi, general secretary of KPCC and also active member in Lions and JCI clubs. She is survived by husband, one son and two daughters.

Former ministers Pramod Madhwaraj, Vinay Kumar Sorake, Congress leaders Chandrika, Sarala Kanchan, Veronika Cornelio, Jyothi Hebbar and club members were included among the people who paid their last respects to late Jayashree.
