Karkala, Oct 28: A delegation of Nehru youth center with 70 activists from Hassan, Mandya, Kodagu, Mangaluru, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru and Uttara Kannada districts in the state visited state awardee Nandalike Abbanadka Friends Club on Wednesday.
Udupi-Nehru youth center coordination officer, Wilfred D’Souza said that he was proud to utter the name of Nandalike Abbanadka Friends Circle that has a history of twenty years. “The club which has obtained best youth club award with pro-society work has worked hard taking part in cleanliness campaign and selected for state award this year too. It is an honour for the club,” he said.
The club’s president, Abbanadka Sathish Poojary who chaired the programme said that unity among its members has helped the club hold pro-society programmes.
The delegation held discussions for about two hours on the part of youth in current society for its growth. Udupi Nehru youth center accounts officer, Vishnumoorthy, department staff Narayana, Udaya Marati, Abbanadka Friends Club honorary president, Kuntalagundi Raju Shetty and others were present on the dais.
President of the sangha, Sathish Poojary welcomed the gathering. Convener Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary conducted the programme. Secretary Prashanth Poojary read the report. Ladies wing member Sulochana Kotian sang a prayer song. Ladies organizing secretary, Veena Poojary gave an introduction. Treasurer Hariprasad Acharya rendered the vote of thanks.
