Goa University to offer courses from ‘Manohar Parrikar School’ this academic year

Panaji, Oct 28: Goa University will be offering courses from Manohar Parrikar School of Law, governance and public policies from the next academic year 2020-21. The varsity is in the process of establishing the school in memory of the former chief minister late Manohar Parrikar.

The government has already allowed Rs 10 crore for the construction of a new block for the school.

The new school will be offering MA programme in public administration, disabilities studies and tribal studies. A doctorate in law will also be offered at the centre. The public administration programme will have an intake of 30 students while the newly launched disabilities studies and tribal studies will intake 15 students for each.

The existing centre for the study of social exclusion and inclusive policy along with the women’s studies department at the university will be brought under the Manohar Parrikar School of Law, Governance and Public Policies.
