Byndoor: Overburdened by debt, farmer commits suicide

Byndoor, Oct 26: Shiva Poojary (55) from Mekke in Talakal, Jadkal village near Kollur in the taluk, committed suicide by hanging himself on Friday October 25.

It is learnt that Poojary was frustrated with life because of the heavy loans outstanding against his name and his inability to clear them. He hanged himself from a tree at Mekke Kampanamane in forest area belonging to the forest department.

Kollur police have registered a case and begun probe.
