Byndoor, Oct 20: Progress inspection meeting was held with the government officials of the taluk by MP of Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency B Y Raghavendra at Kamalashile near here.
 
Raghavendra took to task the officials of ports and fisheries department  for the negligence and sub-standard work of port work. He said, "Rs two crore grant was sanctioned for the Koderi small port work in 2016. The work of the same had to be over by January 2019. However, there is no progress in the project. The reasons for the same are asked to the concerned officials twice in the meeting with the public. They are just giving lame excuses and the work is still not started. If you are not interested to serve the people, then resign and go home."
 














 
Presiding over the function MLA of Byndoor Sukumar Shetty said, "More than Rs 200 crore of works are sanctioned for the constituency of Byndoor. The concerned department officials should carry out the work in a proper manner. The hand in glove attitude of the government officials with the contractors will not be tolerated. Our main aim is to provide transparent administration."
 
DC G Jagadeesh, CEO Preeti Gelel, PA of CM Rajappa, Srirangaiah, DySP of Kundapur, Hariram Shankar, Byndoor Tahsildar B P Poojar, member of zilla panchayat and taluk panchayat were present.
