Udupi, Jul 31: The responsibility of instilling moral values in students besides strengthening human relationships lies with National Service Scheme (NSS) unit in order to help students contribute to the society’s progress, said NSS co-ordinating officer Usha Nayak.
Nayak was speaking at the inaugural of NSS unit held at the Sri Vidyaniketan Pre-University College auditorium, Kaup, here on Thursday July 30. NSS should also strive to build patriotism among students, she said.
Sri Vidyaniketan Group of Education Institutions, Kaup administrator Prof A K Udyavar presided. College principal professor Gopalakrishna S Kidiyoor, senior lecturer Kere Markandeya, NSS project officers Preeti and Divyasri, students’ union leader Sharat and secretary Shilpasri were present.
NSS project officer Preeti welcomed the gathering. Soumya and group sang NSS song. Suraj compered the programme.
