Bangalore, Jul 31: On Thursday July 30, 12 nominations filed by various persons including a JDS candidate, were rejected by the returning officers, during the scrutiny of the nomination papers filed with them, for the assembly by election scheduled for August 18.
With this, the balance 96 nominations have been found to be in order. The nomination of JDS candidate from Govindarajanagar constituency was rejected. A Nagendra Prasad, JDS candidate here, had not properly filled up the 'B' form, the returning officer said.
The split up figures of rejected nominations are one each from Kollegal, Chittapur and Channapatna while two nominations from Ramnagar and seven from Govindarajanagar were rejected. August 1 is the last day for the withdrawal of nominations.
