Bangalore: Bharani Quits BJP, Joins BSP

Bangalore, Jul 29: Former IPS officer Subhash Bharani joined Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Tuesday July 28 quitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Speaking to presspersons after joining the party, Bharani said that he would be contesting on a BSP ticket in the coming by-elections from Kollegal reserved constituency. He was serving as Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation president and has resigned from the post. 

Bharani had contested and lost from T Narasipur during the last assembly election on a BJP ticket.

    A Senior leader of BSP Himachal Pradesh, Shimla says that the decision of a former IPS Officer Subhash Bharani is appreciable for joining the BSP in Karnataka by leaving the BJP. This will definitely strengthen the B.S.P. in Karnatka Pradesh. However, Mr. Dhiman, urged the BSP High Command to launch a compaigned in the country to re-join the BSP leaders in the party back who have left the party on certain reasons. On their joining they must be provided with some very important responsibility in the party for further organisatuions.

    Next assembly election he will contest from either Congress or JDS Ticket.
