Dengue claims another life in Mangaluru city

Mangaluru, Oct 9: Dengue has claimed yet another life in Mangaluru. The deceased Sudhakar Acharya (53) was a resident of Pandeshwar. He was working for a private finance company in Mangaluru.

He was suffering from fever for the past few days and was being treated at a private hospital in the city. He succumbed to fever on Monday, October 7. The hospital expenses were over Rs 2 lac and the family had to raise funds by borrowing it from friends and relatives to clear the hospital bill. He is survived by mother, wife, daughter and a son.

Mangaluru South MLA Vedvyas Kamath visited the house and consoled the bereaved family members. He has assured to seek compensation from the government.
