Bengaluru, Sep 29: In a bizarre incident that occurred on the wee hours of Saturday, September 28, a Nigerian woman bit a policeman for questioning her for standing alone on a deserted road.
This incident reportedly took place on Kammanahalli main road. Govindappa (48), cop attached to Banaswadi police station is the unfortunate person who had to bear the brunt of the Nigerian woman's rage.
The constable was patrolling the area along with sub-inspector Shahjahan. They came across a Nigerian woman, who was standing alone on the deserted road. When the constable inquired with the woman about her nationality, she said that she is a Nigerian.

While asked about the reason of standing on the road at such unearthly hour, the woman replied that she was waiting for her friend. Govindappa, the constable also stood near her to check the veracity of her statement. The woman, who did not like the presence of the constable, got enraged and started a verbal argument with him. Govindappa asked the woman to vacate the place immediately and go to her home.
The Nigerian woman did not budge to the instructions of Govindappa and told him to mind his own business. The constable reprimanded her, which did not go well with the woman. She immediately pounced on him and bit his hand hard which resulted in bleeding.
The police control room was alerted by the other police on night patrol. Govindappa was admitted to a hospital and the culprit woman was taken to the Banaswadi police station by women police personnel. Subsequently, the police arrested her.
