Udupi, Sep 28: “Congress is campaigning for power. It has done no work for the people. Congress at present is not in a possible stand in any state and is a sinking ship,” said home minister and district in charge minister Basavaraj Bommai addressing party workers.

He was speaking responding to felicitation from party leaders at BJP office, Kadiyali on Friday, September 27. “The responsibility of BJP is increasing now as people are watching us. There are pro people and pro power factions in politics. BJP has never indulged in power politics. We are into pro people politics. That is why BJP has grown as a large party,” he said.

“Implementing the values in which we grew is a challenge. We have to shoulder morality. Udupi is a civilized district with people of self-respect. There are ample opportunities for growth including industries, basic facilities, etc.”

“The main aim of the party is to safeguard the welfare till the end. I will be working as the voice of party activists and try to obtain sufficient grants from the centre and state governments,” he said.

He recollected at this juncture the monetary contribution of his teachers late V S Acharya and A G Kodgi.
