Chitradurga, Sep 27: The driver of a KSRTC bus has died on the spot as the bus driven by him hit a lorry stopped beside the road here.

The deceased was Premnath (53). The bus was on its way from Kalaburagi to Bengaluru when it lost control and hit a lorry parked on the roadside near Kapilehatti, Hiriyoor on Friday morning.

Six passengers in the bus who are injured are admitted to Hiriyoor hospital for treatment. Aimangala station police have registered a case.
