Moodbidri, Jul 18: Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva, announced that AICTE, New Delhi, and Vishweshwarayya Technical University, Belgaum, have granted permission to conduct MBA and civil engineering courses in Alva’s Engineering College.
Alva’s Engineering College started in 2008–09 offering courses in mechanical, electronics and communication, computer science and information science, and 240 students have already completed their first year.
“Alva’s Engineering College secured 76 percent in first semester which is impressive achievement,” said Dr Mohan Alva. Meanwhile, MSc in mathematics, MHRD, MCom, PGDCA, and PGDBM, are the courses affiliated to Mangalore University added in this academic year”, added Dr Alva.
Alva’s Education Foundation is trying to get NAAC accreditation for all its colleges including Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College and Alva’s College.
“The construction of separate hostel buildings for boys and girls is underway on the college campus, to help save time on commuting and facilitate better study”, he added.
