Udupi, Sep 23: Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has requested party men as well as people of his community to put an end to the discussion regarding the controversy of not giving the post of district-in-charge of Udupi to him.

In his statement, minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, "I have decided to work with the opportunity that is given to me by the chief minister as well as the party. I will try to uplift the respect of the BJP government through my work. In the midst of this, the media reports that are appearing on the issue of district-in-charge position have become a matter of daily discussion among the party workers and the general public. I, who have faithfully disposed of the responsibilities given to me by the party, am getting embarrassed by this development.

"So I request with all my close aides, including the people from my Billava community, to put an end to the discussion concerning the controversy of the district-in-charge position of Udupi district. In addition, instead of discussion, your guidance will give me strength."
