Kasargod: After hunger protest, NH authority invites MP Rajmohan for talks

Kasargod, Sep 21: The 24 hour’s long hunger protest observed by MP Rajmohan Unnithan against damaged national highway had positive response. The MP said that the national highway authority officials have invited him for discussions on September 26.

The MP had gone on hunger strike from 9 am on Friday till 9 am on Saturday protesting against the plight of national highway from Talapady to Kasargod and most of the roads in the district.

The concluding programme of the fast was inaugurated by opposition party leader Ramesh Chennitala. The 24 hours long fast received support from all quarters. The MP had warned of intensifying protests if the demands are not met.

Meanwhile national highway authority officials have invited him for talks on Sep 26. The MP has said that indefinite fast will be held if the matter is not resolved in the meeting.
