Mangaluru, Sep 19: The community radio, Sarang 107.8 FM and Kannada department of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), here jointly organized an intercollegiate ‘Yuva Kavi Goshti’ recently at the Robert Sequeira Hall.
Eminent writer, Chandrakala Nandavara and Konkani writer Wilson Sequeira were the guests.
Principal, Fr Dr Praveen Martis, SJ inaugurated the programme.
Students from 21 colleges around Dakshina Kannada participated in the programme. Kavya A R, a student of Mangalore University secured the first place. Abhyudaya from SDM College secured second place and Abhishek P A secured third place.
The director of Radio Sarang, Fr Dr Melwyn Pinto, SJ addressed the gathering. Dr Saraswathi Kumari, HOD of Kannada welcomed the gathering and Tejasvini compered the programme.
