Mumbai, Sep 18: Christian Chamber of Commerce of Industry (CCCI) 14th award function will be held on Saturday, September 21 at Hotel Kohinoor here.  The names of the awardees have been announced. 

Bishop Percival Joseph Fernandez, Commodore Valentine Sequeira, Corrine Rasquinha, Rohan Monteiro, Fr Charles Vas SVD, Sherley Singh and Capt Thomas W Pinto are the award winners. 

Christian Chamber of Commerce & Industry is an umbrella for a body of businesspersons from all walks of trade and industry and the motto of the organization is to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst members and to reach out to the community in particular and to the state and country at large. 

In order to promote business fellowship and sharpen their skills, CCCI undertakes business related activities such as (1) publication of monthly newsletter covering news from the world of trade and industry. (2) Holding in-house seminars on current topics and informing members of the seminars conducted by Confederation of Indian Industry, Indian Merchant’s Chamber and Bombay Industries Association. (3) Conducting Industrial Tours both within the country and abroad. 

Every year Excellence Awards function is held where awards and citations to those who have excelled in the field of Industry, Public Service, Social Service, Young Entrepreneur, Contribution in the field of Education and Women Entrepreneur, Sports/Arts and Culture are given. 

Antony Sequeira, Chairman of Christian Chamber of Commerce & Industry informed that for this year’s award function the chief guest is Dr David Thomas Alvares (Jt. Commissioner Profession Tax) and Monsignor Varghese Mattamana is guest of honour. 

The Excellence Awards function will be held on Saturday September 21 at Hotel Kohinoor Continental, J B Nagar, Andheri (East), Mumbai 400 059 at 7.00 pm.
