Bantwal: PTA annual general body meeting held at Carmel College, Modankap

Bantwal, Sep 18: Carmel College Modankap recently conducted its annual general body meeting of the PTA at the college auditorium.

Dr Judy Pinto former vice principal, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru was the chief guest as well as resource person. She addressed the parents on how to deal with adolescent children and methods in channelizing the energy of their children on the right path by choosing good virtues. She emphasized the role of parents and the mutual relationship between parent and children. She suggested, the parents be a true role model for their children stating the vital importance of imparting good morals, values for the children by the parents.

Rajeshwari HOD of BCA screened the major activities of 2018-19 through a PowerPoint Presentation. Shwetha, lecturer in English placed before the parents the annual report of the PTA for 2018-19.



Pooja Shetty, lecturer in Business Administration presented the list of student toppers in the second, fourth and sixth-semester examinations of Mangalore University held in April/May who were felicitated.

Florine Menezes, lecturer in Commerce conducted the elections for the posts of the executive committee for 2019-20.

Ivan Anand Lobo was elected vice president and Mark Albuquerque, joint secretary for 2019-20.
The entire executive committee of the PTA has 12 parents as its members.

Madhura K, HOD Economics compered the programme, Deepthi, lecturer in management welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Joel, lecturer in Commerce proposed the vote of thanks. Dr Sr Latha AC, principal gave her presidential remarks. The meeting ended with the National Anthem.
