Mangaluru: JCI week – Programme held at Lions Special School

Mangaluru, Sep 17: On the occasion of JCI week JCI Surathkal organized a day-long programme with children at Lions Special School.

The programme was inaugurated by JCI zone vice president JCI Senator Royan Uday Crasta. Speaking on inauguration he appreciated the programme continued since 18 years by JCI Suathkal.

Lions Seva Trust president Vishwanatha Shetty, Surathkal Lions Club president M C Bhadraiah, headmistress of Lions Special School Meera Satish were present.

The children were given a variety of activities and prize was distributed. In the programme, the pamphlet was released as part of the plastic free environment campaign and information on the use of alternatives to corn-based bags instead of plastic bags. Lions Seva Trust Officers Keshava Salyan, Jeevan Beliyappa, JCI Zone 15 Past Zone director Maria Rodrigas, JCI Surathkal's immediate past president Praveen Shetty, past president M G Ramachandra Rao, JCI Chairperson were present.

JCI president Lokesha Rai K welcomed the gathering. Project Ddirector Nithesh Shetty rendered the vote of thanks.
