Bengaluru, Sep 15: The state government has given official order to revise the salary of the police force of the state in accordance with the senior IPS officer Raghavendra Auradkar committee report based on the seniority of service. At last, the long-pending demand of the state police is materialised.
According to the government order, the revised salary is implemented from the month of August 2019 itself. As the salary of the state police personnel is already deposited in their respective accounts, the arrears of the hike will be paid along with the salary for the month of September.
The order contains the revised salaries of constables, ASIs, SIs and non-IPS cadre officers. The salaries are revised based on the recommendations of the sixth pay commission of 2018 based on the seniority in service.
Due to technical reasons, the order does not include Sub-inspector, DySP and ASP posts. However, their salary also will be revised according to seniority in service. The officials of the government have confirmed that this will be done in few days’ time.
The revised salary scale of certain posts in the police force are as follows:
Constable - Old pay scale - Rs 21,400 - Rs 42,000. Revised pay scale - Rs 23,500- Rs 47,650
Head Constable - Old pay scale - Rs 23,500 - Rs 47,650. Revised pay scale - Rs 27,650 - Rs 56,400
ASI - Old pay scale - Rs 27,650 - Rs 52,650. Revised pay scale - Rs 30,350 - Rs 58,250
Inspector - Old pay scale - Rs 40,900 - Rs 80,100. Revised pay scale - Rs 43,100 - Rs 83,900
Non-IPS - Old pay scale - Rs 67,550 - Rs 1,04,600. Revised pay scale - Rs 70,850 - Rs 1,09,600
