Mumbai, Jul 9:
Heavy rains being experienced in the city since the last few days across the metro caused floods in the low-lying areas of both central and western suburbs on Wednesday July 8. As a result, the train services of Central Railway (CR) including harbour line and Western Railway (WR) are running behind schedule, owing to the submerging of the tracks, while Mumbaikars were found to be wading through the floods, in order to reach their offices. The office goers coming from far away suburbs had to stay put in their houses, since it rained without breaks. Poor visibility and heavy downpour also delayed international flights at Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, here.
The resident doctors of Sir J J Hospital here protested on Wednesday July 8, to put pressure on the Hospital authorities to fulfill their various demands.
The residents of Behrampada, Bandra (East) opposed the survey by a NGO at their locality on Wednesday July 8.
