Bengaluru, Sep 7: It is learnt that the core committee meeting held here on Friday September 6 witnessed chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, getting wild at MP and newly inducted state BJP president, Nalin Kumar Kateel's advice.
It is said that during the meeting, Kateel told Yediyurappa to bring to the notice of the party before making appointments to corporations and boards. This enraged Yediyurappa, a seasoned politician who perhaps feels that Kateel is much junior to him both in age and political experience.
Yediyurappa bluntly told Nalin Kumar Kateel that all appointments cannot be brought to the notice of the party in advance as there are a large number of legislators and dissidents who feel deprived of ministerial positions. He added that these people will have to be considered when making appointments to corporations and boards.
At the same time, Yediyurppa told Kateel to bring to his notice when appointing office bearers of the party. Yediyurappa appeared to be peeved at the appointment of Mahesh Tenginakai as the party's general secretary. He wanted to know how the general secretary was appointed without consulting others, and told Kateel to bring to his notice before making such appointments henceforth.
