Karkala, Sep 6: AthrV-Ed Tech is an in-campus micro student startup organization which was recently launched at NMAM Institute of Technology campus to provide a platform for college students to work in a corporate ecosystem right within the campus.
Athrv-Ed is the brainchild of alumnis of NMAMIT, who were part of this collegiate technical club 'Aero Club Nitte', which started eight years ago with an intention to do something out of the box.
Aero Club inspired students to find a start-up in 2017, which is named 'Infinity Drones' (a unit of Airmydus Innovations Pvt Ltd). Infinity Drones over the past two years has been working efficiently in providing drone data solutions to industry and government as well. Athrv-Ed is a perception put forward by the founders of Infinity Drones - Goutam Naik, Karthik B, Shreesha K.S and their mentor Ananth Erasappa, a senior executive at Tata Defense & Aerospace, with a purpose of enabling students to get trained with the advancements in modern technology.
As a process of continuous learning, Athrv-Ed aims at providing the flavors of working in a professional environment and improving individual interpersonal skills by putting the students in a collaborative ecosystem.
The entire world believes in one of the biggest myths stating that engineers do not have jobs, but it is this same world that believes the world runs on technology. It is not that engineers do not have jobs, it is just that they are not skilled enough to work at the corporate industry. Flipping around the pages of the newspaper we can notice Engineering admissions face a serious downfall, student intakes are decreasing rapidly and engineering colleges are shutting down at an alarming rate. The only reason being the youth of our country do not understand the concept of 'value creation'. They expect things to be spoonfed while they casually pass their time through college life. Dependency on these pieces of paper, the so-called certificates, which do not always lead to the indication of an inculcated skill causes a catastrophe.
Athrv-Ed's mission is to provide students with an immersive learning ecosystem, enabling them with the technical and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and personalized mentorship. In the long term, it aims at improving the R&D of India and create a next-gen workforce which will be immune to the age of automation. This will not just fuel the 'Make in India' initiative, but bring it down to 'Make from Scratch in India'.
