Udupi, Sep 4: Times have changed. Children of these days like to spend more time on mobile playing online games. However, as an exception to this trend, Reyansh R Bhat, son of couple MLA Raghupati Bhat and Shilpa mesmerized the audience in the city by narrating the 'Harikathe'. The surprising part is that Shreyansh is just four-years-old.

This event was part of the 60-day long 'Harikatha Jnana Yajna' that is being conducted under the patronage of Paryaya Sri Palimaru Math and organized by Harikatha Parishad (R) Mangaluru, Akhila Karnataka Keerthana Kala Parishad (R), Bengaluru and Sri Handedasa Pratistana (R) Karkala.

This programme took place on September 3 at the Rajangana of Sri Krishna Math. Shreyansh sang the 'Bhakta Hanuma' story and won the hearts of the audience. Swamiji of Palimaru Math Sri Vidhyadheesha Theertha appreciated the skill of Shreyansh and also blessed and felicitated him.

Shreyansh's father Raghupati Bhat, mother Shilpa and grandmother were also part of the audience. Generally politicians encourage their children to study politics or enter cinema. However, MLA Raghupati Bhat has encouraged his son to enter into this unique art of 'Harikathe'. It is really laudable that the young artiste has got so much hold on the art at the age of only four. Definitely his performance is going to inspire many more children to take up this traditional art.
