Bengaluru, Aug 31: The recent spate of rains in North Karnataka has severely affected the income and livelihood of many in the state.
Christ Academy Group of Institutions under the furtherance of NSS (National Service Scheme and CSE Centre for Social Empowerment showed solidarity with victims affected due to the floods by way of direct relief aid in the form of food, clothing, sanitation products, medicines, emergency lamps and blankets particularly in Belegavi district villages- Nadeshwar, Mahishwadgi, Janwad, Darga and Bagalkot district villages- Hipparagi; Shiaguppi Maigur, Albal.
NSS officers, Dr Raju and Naveen Kumar along with volunteers supervised the provision of relief aid worth seven lac to 2388 affected victims. The ardent support of the management of Christ Academy Group of Institutions under the direction of Fr Joice CMI, principal Christ Academy, Fr Viju CMI, administrator, Fr Antony CMI, director and vice principals Fr Praveen CMI, Fr Arun CMI and Fr Davis CMI and Fr Dr Davis Panadan CMI, principal of Christ Academy Institute of Law was pivotal in making this initiative a success.
