Bangalore, Jun 28: Former housing and muzrai minister S N Krishnaiah Setty has been elected the chairman of the newly constituted Karnataka Muzrai Development Board.
Setty was earlier appointed as chairman of Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Board and had assumed office on June 20. Now the state has thrust upon him the added responsibility of chairmanship of the newly constituted board.
Setty resigned as minister on June 17 to accommodate V Somanna as a minister in the state cabinet. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had then assured Setty of a cabinet-rank post.
