Puttur: Meritorious achievement earns Puttur Aquatic Club laurels at district swimming competition

Puttur, Aug 24: Puttur Aquatic Club swimmers win 37 medals at district level school games swimming competition recently conducted by Dakshina Kannada zilla Panchayat, Sarwajanika Shikshana Illakae, on 19/8/2019 at the Mangala Corporation pool, here. Six swimmers qualified for the state level to be held in Bengaluru shortly.

21 PAC swimmers won seven gold, 12 silver and 18 bronze medals.

Ankith Gowda, a class 10 student from Sudana Residential School, Puttur who qualified for the state level swimming competition, won three gold medals in 50, 100 and 200 metre breast stroke and qualified for the state level swimming competition.

Aashish K, a class 7 student from Sudana Residential School, Puttur qualified for State level by winning three silver medals in 200 metre freestyle 4 X 100 metre freestyle, 4*100 metre I M relay and one bronze medal in 100 metre freestyle.

Neethi Rai, a class 8 student from Sudana Residential School, Puttur qualified for state level, by winning two silver medals in 400 metre freestyle and 200 metre individual medley and a bronze medal in 200 metre freestyle.

Aniketh Gowda a class 7 student from Sudana Residential School, Puttur won two silver medals in 4 x 100 metre IM relay and 4 x 100 freestyle relay and one bronze medal in 200 metre backstroke.

Nandan Naik, a class 7 student from Sudana Residential School, Puttur won two silver medals in 4 x 100 freestyle relay and 4 x 100 IM relay and a bronze medal in 50 metre breaststroke.

Aaryan Rao a class 8 student of Sudana Residential School won two silver medals in 4 X 100 freestyle relay and 4 x 100 IM relay.

Dhanvi J Rai, a class 10 student of St Philomena High School qualified for state level swimming competition by winning two silver medals in 100 and 200 metre breaststroke and one bronze medal in 50 metre breaststroke.

Asmi Savjani, a class 9 student of St Philomena High school won two bronze medals in 50 metre backstroke and in 100 metre freestyle.

Tanvir J Pinto, a class 10 student from St Philomena High School qualified for state level, by winning three silver medals in 50, 100 and 200 metre backstroke.

Adwith Rai Barike a standard 8 student from St Philomena High School, Puttur won one bronze medal in 200 metre breaststroke.

Josna Laid Johnson a class 9 student from St Rita, Vital won two bronze medals in 100 metre backstroke and 50 metre freestyle.

Bhuvanram Jagadeesha Bhandary a standard 10 student from Saandeepaani won two bronze medals in 200 metre freestyle and 100 metre backstroke.

Amanraj a class 6 student from Saandeepaani won two bronze medals in 100 metre backstroke and 200 metre freestyle.

Pradhi Claire Pinto from Bethany Higher Primary school, Puttur qualified for state level swimming competition by winning three gold medalis in 100 and 200 metre backstroke and in 200 metre freestyle.

Diganth V S, a class 6 student from Bethany Higher Primary school qualified for state level swimming competition by winning a gold medal in 100 metre backstroke and two silver medals in 50 and 200 metre backstroke.

Anvith Rai Barike a class 6 student from Bethany Higher Primary school won two bronze medals in 100 and 200 metre butterfly.

Manya P R, a student of standard 6 from Bethany Higher Primary school won a bronze medal in 200 I M.

Shishil, a class 9 student from Vivekananda Kannada Medium School won a bronze medal in 50 metre freestyle.

These swimmers were trained by coach, Partha Varanashi, coach Niroop, coach Rohit, coach Yagnesh at Dr Shivarama Karantha Balawana Swimming Pool Puttur and St Aloysius swimming pool, Mangaluru.
